Greece: Unemployment rate declines in April

Latest reading: April’s data sent positive signals regarding the health of the labor market. The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell to 8.3% in April from March’s downwardly revised 8.9%. Moreover, the number of employed people increased by 28,144 compared with March.

Meanwhile, the number of unemployed decreased by 26,943 relative to March. In addition, the number of individuals outside the labor force declined by 3,569 compared with March.
