Croatia: Harmonized inflation comes in at highest level since February in July

Latest reading: Harmonized inflation ticked up to 4.5% in July from June’s 4.4%. July’s figure represented the highest inflation rate since February. The result was driven by stronger price pressures for food and non-alcoholic beverages and housing and utilities.

Annual average harmonized inflation rose to 4.1% in July (June: 4.0%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation rose to 4.1% in July from the previous month’s 3.6%.

Finally, harmonized consumer prices rose 1.21% from the previous month in July, picking up from June’s 0.81% rise. July’s uptick was the highest reading since June 2023.
