Belarus: Industrial production contracts again in September
Latest reading: Industrial production fell 0.8% on a year-on-year basis in September, stable from the prior month’s reading.
Relative to the previous month’s figures, readings in September improved for mining and quarrying (+2.9% on a year-on-year basis vs +2.8% in August), electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (+2.6% vs +2.0% in August) and water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities (-0.1% vs -0.2% in August). In contrast, the reading for manufacturing softened in September (-1.4% vs -1.2% in August).
