Slovenia: Inflation decelerates in September from the prior month

Latest reading: Harmonized consumer prices rose 2.7% in annual terms in September, following a 3.0% increase in the prior month.

Relative to the previous month’s data, there were milder price pressures for food and non-alcoholic beverages (+7.2% in annual terms vs +7.7% in August) and restaurants and hotels (+5.6% vs +5.9% in August). In contrast, there were higher price pressures for transportation (-1.1% vs -1.8% in August), housing and utilities (+0.3% vs 0.0% in August) and recreation (+2.2% vs +2.1% in August).

Meanwhile, consumer prices increased 2.6% in September, following a 3.0% increase in the prior month.

Lastly, harmonized consumer prices were stable in September on a month-on-month basis, following a flat reading in the prior month.
