Latest reading: Economic sentiment went down to 98.8 in October, following September’s 99.5.
In October, sentiment darkened in the industrial sector (-7.1 vs -5.2 in September), the construction sector (+10.1 vs +12.7 in September) and among consumers (-25.3 vs -24.9 in September). In contrast, sentiment turned more upbeat in the services sector (+16.8 vs +14.8 in September) and the retail sector (+11.4 vs +5.7 in September).
