Latest reading: Economic sentiment rose to 98.7 in September, following August’s 97.3.
The uptick was broad-based: Sentiment brightened in the industrial sector (-3.5 vs -5.0 in August), the construction sector (-7.5 vs -9.3 in August), the services sector (+1.7 vs +0.4 in August), the retail sector (+4.8 vs +3.3 in August) and among consumers (-14.3 vs -14.6 in August).
