Latest reading: Consumer confidence went up to 88.5 in October, following September’s 87.5 and marking the highest reading since last December.
In October, consumers grew more optimistic about expectations for the coming months (+92.8 vs +91.8 in September) and the current economic situation (+83.0 vs +82.0 in September).
