Barchart has launched cmdtyView LATAM, a tailored version of its flagship market intelligence platform built specifically for users across Latin America’s commodity markets. The move marks a strategic milestone in Barchart’s international growth, expanding its footprint in one of the most active agricultural and soft commodity regions in the world.
The cmdtyView LATAM platform provides real-time data and analytical tools for commodity merchandisers, brokers, analysts, and traders. With localized features and bilingual support in Portuguese and English, the platform includes coverage across futures, options, foreign exchange, equities, and interest rates. It also integrates trading functionality, interactive charts, customizable dashboards, Excel tools, and streaming news.
“From grains and oilseeds to coffee, sugar, and beyond”
William Osnato, Director of Commodity Data Research & Analysis at Barchart, commented, “Our goal with cmdtyView LATAM is to bring a modern, comprehensive solution to one of the most dynamic and important commodity regions in the world. From grains and oilseeds to coffee, sugar, and beyond, this new offering enhances how market participants in Latin America access data, make decisions, and manage risk.”
Among its standout features are Brazilian cash corn and soybean prices from Basis Agro across 21 locations in Mato Grosso, as well as arbitrage calculators for coffee and sugar, and stocks reports for cocoa and coffee. The platform also includes robust FX data with domestic sourcing for accurate Brazilian Real exchange rate references, and integrates regional agricultural datasets from institutions such as CONAB, USDA, IBGE, MAGyP, and Bolsa de Cereales.
The company will showcase cmdtyView LATAM at the upcoming CCAgro Conference, which draws major agricultural stakeholders from across Latin America. Live demos and direct client engagement are planned as part of the official rollout.
Fernando Berardo, Head of Commodities for LATAM & Brazil at Barchart, said, “We’re thrilled to officially introduce cmdtyView LATAM ahead of the CCAgro Conference, where top agricultural professionals from across the region will gather. This platform was built with the region’s unique needs in mind, and we’re excited to show attendees how it can transform their workflows and decision-making.”
The launch underscores Barchart’s continued investment in regional platforms designed for specific market ecosystems, reinforcing its position as a key data and technology provider to the global commodity sector.
