Iress has announced a new partnership with interoperability provider interop.io to deliver a unified, scalable, and customizable trading experience for clients using its trading and market data solutions. The integration underpins Iress’ “MyIress” platform, part of the company’s renewed focus on modular, high-performance trading infrastructure.
The partnership enables users of Iress’ trading and market data systems to bring third-party applications, real-time news feeds, and notification tools into a single smart desktop workspace. Built on open APIs and the FDC3 interoperability standard, the MyIress environment allows financial firms to streamline workflows, embed proprietary interfaces, and reduce operational risk caused by manual data entry across disconnected systems.
“Key milestone in Iress’ focus and reinvestment in trading technology”
Michael Barbera, Executive General Manager – Product & Development at Iress, commented, “This partnership marks a key milestone in Iress’ focus and reinvestment in trading technology. Through MyIress, we’re delivering a more scalable and personalised future, empowering clients to tailor their workflows, operate seamlessly across markets and time zones, and stay ahead in an increasingly complex, fast-moving landscape.
“Today’s trading landscape is shifting fast, with extended trading market hours, accelerated post-trade cycles, and heightened regulatory demands reshaping operational expectations for trading firms. Traders need to be agile, compliant and operationally resilient to maintain competitive edge across global markets. At the same time, firms are under pressure to modernise legacy infrastructure without costly replatforming.
“Iress’ partnership with interop.io, which underpins MyIress, enables us to deliver zero-install, scalable architecture that reduces reliance on legacy systems and supports traders in designing high-performance workflows that suit their strategy, region or asset class choice. Interoperable systems are easier to monitor, test and audit, making them better suited to meet changing regulatory requirements, while providing enhanced compliance oversight via automated trade monitoring, reporting and real-time data sharing.”
The MyIress platform aims to meet increasing demand from capital markets participants for greater customization and seamless access to tools that operate across asset classes and geographies. The integration of interop.io enables users to unify systems that were previously siloed, improving decision-making and execution quality.
Leslie Spiro, CEO of interop.io, commented, “There’s an ongoing industry focus on improving connectivity between market participants through technology that supports interoperability. We’re delighted to be partnering with Iress to deliver a best-of-breed ecosystem that enhances the user experience for their global trading and market data clients and ultimately improves the experience across the trading industry.”
The collaboration highlights the broader industry trend toward smart desktop environments that connect diverse data sources and trading tools in real time, allowing firms to respond to shifting market and regulatory pressures without undertaking full-scale infrastructure replacement.
