Latest reading: Economic sentiment declined to 87.9 in September, following August’s 93.0.
In September, sentiment worsened in the industrial sector (-19.3 vs -15.5 in August), the services sector (+2.5 vs +5.6 in August), the retail sector (-3.8 vs -3.7 in August) and among consumers (-18.7 vs -14.1 in August). In contrast, sentiment turned more upbeat in the construction sector (-17.2 vs -17.9 in August).
