Transaction Network Services (TNS) has officially opened a new operations hub in Kuala Lumpur, reinforcing its presence in the Asia-Pacific region and advancing its global growth strategy. The new office supports the company’s “Complete Commerce” initiative, delivering secure and integrated payment and network services to enterprises across sectors.

The launch event on June 11 featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony and facility tour hosted by John Tait, Global Managing Director of TNS’ Payments Market. The new space in Kuala Lumpur City Center includes a state-of-the-art 24×7 Network Operations Center (NOC), along with expanded facilities for engineering, sales, finance, and project management teams. It marks a significant milestone in the company’s twelve-year track record in Malaysia.

NOC will play a central role in TNS’ global operations

Ganesh Satkunalingam, Vice President for Southeast Asia, TNS Payments Market, commented, “We were thrilled to have so many customers join us for the grand opening of our new major hub for the APAC region. Over the past 12 years, TNS has consistently achieved remarkable growth in Malaysia and beyond, a testament to our expanding workforce and our ever-evolving suite of services. As we look ahead, we are excited about our future opportunities and confident that our Malaysian hub will be instrumental in driving our continued success and growth in the region.”

The Kuala Lumpur office will initially house over 50 employees, with more positions expected to be added as operations scale. The move responds to the rising demand for local service delivery and real-time operational support across payments, managed networks, and connectivity. The NOC will play a central role in TNS’ global operations, ensuring uninterrupted transaction services across its client base.

John Tait, Global Managing Director, TNS Payments Market, said, “By investing and building its Operations and Shared Services Center in Malaysia, TNS is reinforcing its support structure in APAC for customers in both the country and region. We want our customers to have the confidence that we’re closer to them in the market. With a long history in the region, we’re delighted that Malaysia will play a central role in our long-term global strategy with a 24×7 Network Operations Center.”

TNS first entered Malaysia in 2013 to service a single global payments client. Since then, the company has achieved consistent double-digit growth, expanding its services to financial institutions, ATM deployers, retailers, and fuel networks both locally and abroad. Its Complete Commerce platform enables enterprises to process in-store and online payments, connect point-of-sale terminals via managed networks, and route transactions through a cloud-native orchestration layer.

The new Kuala Lumpur hub underscores TNS’ intent to scale its service delivery while maintaining direct proximity to customers in key markets. Much of the growth in staffing has come through internal referrals, highlighting what the company describes as a strong culture of retention and internal development.

TNS continues to invest in digital infrastructure globally, positioning itself as a core provider of secure, high-availability transaction services across developed and emerging markets. The company’s services span payments, telecommunications, financial market data, and managed network infrastructure.
