Spotware Systems has announced the release of cTrader 5.2, which introduces a range of enhanced trading capabilities to the multi-asset FX/CFD trading platform across Mobile, Web, Windows, and Mac.

New risk-reward tools, improved price alert automation, and user interface enhancements are the main additions to the upgrade as part of cTrader’s efforts to remain a top choice for brokers, prop firms, and traders worldwide.

Ilia Iarovitcyn, CEO at Spotware, said: “Every enhancement in cTrader 5.2 reflects our Traders First commitment. With just 1-second from icon tap to first price tick, to advanced risk-reward tools and API-powered automation, we’ve focused on what genuinely elevates trader performance–bringing institutional-grade capabilities to the cTrader community.”

Risk-Reward, cTrader Copy, Chart Enhancements, More

The highly anticipated risk-reward tool allows traders to calculate deal volume based on stop-loss levels and risk exposure directly on the trading chart. With three calculation modes–risk, reward or size–traders can instantly determine the correct order size and execute trades. cTrader Mobile 5.2 allows users to place an order and unlocking rewarding trading with a tap.

Spotware also notes that the new version offers a one-second launch time and in-app notifications when a new cTrader
version is available.

As to cTrader Copy, users now can filter deal history for any strategy, sorting results by closing time, opening time, symbol and more. Custom date ranges can also be applied, providing deeper insights into strategy performance and investment decisions.

Additionally, cTrader Web 5.2 introduces a useful visibility feature for chart objects so that users can assign specific timeframes to indicators and drawings, meaning that they can selectively display technical analysis based on the chart period being viewed and save time by automatically hiding objects when switching between periods. According to Spotware, the new object manager now enables bulk modification of chart elements, including locking, hiding, adjusting visibility and styling.

Moreover, a “Notifications” tab has been added to the Active Symbol Panel for real-time updates on orders, positions, workspaces and other key trading activities; and traders can now upload locally stored .algo files to expand their
collection of algorithms within cloud storage.

ChartRiskReward API for Risk Analysis on Automated Strategies

cTrader 5.2 introduces several new features for both Windows and Mac platforms focused on functionality and automation.

On Windows, the update adds risk-reward visualization on trading charts. Traders can assess potential trade outcomes directly within the platform. The new ChartRiskReward API allows developers to incorporate risk analysis into automated strategies.

The platform now supports programmatic control of price alerts through updated APIs. This allows for setting and managing alerts based on specific conditions. A new messaging interface enables real-time communication between algorithms operating within the same cTrader instance, making event-driven strategies possible.

APIs now include access to deposit and withdrawal records, allowing for review of balance history and transaction auditing. Interface components such as buttons, panels, and widgets can now be moved within the workspace, offering layout flexibility. A new tab API supports grouping multiple elements into a single workspace, improving navigation between indicators, cBots, and plugins.

On Mac, cTrader 5.2 includes updates related to symbol management and order placement. A Watchlists tab allows for organization of instruments into user-defined groups. Traders can move symbols from Watchlists into charts for immediate display.

Pending order functionality is now accessible via Quick Trade drag-and-drop, reducing manual steps in order entry. A deal map displays trade outcomes on charts to support post-trade review. Mini charts on order screens present entry and risk levels to assist with trade adjustments.
