Monex has announced its adoption of Broadridge Financial Solutions’ cloud-based SaaS platform to manage its JASDEC Processing Solutions (JASDECPS) system, which aligns with the upcoming requirements of Japan’s JASDEC2025 initiative. The transition is scheduled to be completed by May 2026.

The move represents a shift from Monex’s current on-premise deployment, in use since 2016, to a SaaS model hosted by Broadridge. The new system aims to enhance service stability, streamline operations, and reduce costs related to IT infrastructure and maintenance. This transition also positions Monex to meet the evolving regulatory and technological demands of Japan’s securities settlement system under JASDEC2025.

Transition to SaaS will enhance Monex’s stability and flexibility

Motoki Kitamura, Expert Director of Operations at Monex, commented, “Monex, Inc.’s history with Broadridge has been one of innovation and mutual growth, and this transition to a SaaS environment will allow Monex, Inc. to provide more stable services and flexibly adapt to Japan’s evolving financial landscape. We have great trust in Broadridge’s expertise, and with their support, Monex, Inc. will continue to deliver exceptional value to the clients.”

The JASDEC2025 initiative introduces updated standards for Japan’s Central Securities Depository system covering equities, corporate bonds, and investment trust settlements. Broadridge’s JASDECPS platform enables straight-through processing across the full transaction lifecycle and is being updated to meet the initiative’s technical and operational requirements.
