FNZ has announced a five-year global partnership with Microsoft to accelerate the digital transformation of the wealth management industry through AI, cloud infrastructure, and new technology development.

The collaboration integrates Microsoft Azure AI Foundry into FNZ’s end-to-end platform, with a focus on automation, scalability, and personalization. The firms will co-develop digital wealth solutions, deploy joint go-to-market initiatives, and support financial institutions seeking to modernize operations and improve advisor and investor experiences.

“Microsoft allows us to accelerate our AI-led roadmap”

Roman Regelman, Group President at FNZ, commented, “FNZ has always been at the forefront of innovation in wealth-management technology. Partnering with Microsoft allows us to accelerate our AI-led roadmap and enhances our ability to deliver personalized, intelligent and resilient solutions to our clients, strengthening our position of leadership.”

He added, “Together, we are not just upgrading technology. We are setting a new standard for how wealth management is delivered. Partnering with Microsoft further advances our mission to open up wealth, by making investing more accessible to more people worldwide.”

The partnership will allow FNZ to expand its platform by embedding capabilities such as Azure OpenAI, GitHub Copilot, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and Microsoft Fabric. The companies plan to create a next-generation digital experience for both advisors and end investors by boosting operational efficiency, enhancing developer productivity, and delivering deeper analytics insights tailored to the wealth management sector.

FNZ also plans to deploy intelligent agents across middle- and back-office operations and collaborate with Microsoft to distribute modular wealth solutions through Microsoft Marketplace and other channels.

The scale of FNZ’s platform, with more than 650 financial institution partners, over 26 million investors, and nearly $2 trillion in assets under administration, positions the company to apply AI and data technologies at significant volume. The integration of Microsoft’s engineering tools aims to speed up product development while maintaining platform resilience, compliance, and risk management.

FNZ is backed by global institutional investors including Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, Generation Investment Management, and Motive Partners.
